Julie Aube - Double bass
Born in Sherbrooke, Québec, Canada, Julie Aubé started her musical studies at the age of seven with the piano. She went on to playing tuba from age twelve to twenty-two. Her love for low tones brought her to start playing the doublebass when she was eighteen and decided to persue a career with that instrument. She studied at the Conservatoire de Montréal and graduated with a “Premier Prix de Concours”. That same year, she also won the soloist competition and got to perform as a soloist with that orchestra performing the Vanhal Concerto. She obtained her masters degree in may 1995. She also participated in various masterclasses with Paul Elison and François Rabbath.
