Professor Michael Boguslavsky - Piano

Michael Boguslavsky was born in 1941. He started his music studies at the age of 7 with his mother.

 

He received his Artist's Diploma at Novosibirsk (Russia) Academy of Music in 1965, where he studied with Prof. Slonim. He won First Prize at the Moscow Piano Contest in 1965 and was awarded his Music Doctorate in 1968. He taught piano in Novosibirsk Academy of Music until 1978.

 

Since he immigrated to Israel in 1979, he has performed with Jerusalem Broadcasting Orchestra, and has given recitals in all the main cities. Michael Boguslavsky has made successful tours, which included solo performances with the best orchestras, recitals and chamber music in Holland, Belgium, Spain, Germany, Britain, France; Italy, Russia, USA, South Africa, South America and Far East.

He taught piano at the Jerusalem and Tel Aviv Academies of Music, and in 1987 he was awarded professorship in Israel and honorary professorship in Novosibirsk Academy of Music in 1992. Many of his students are prize-winners of important competitions and perform regularly in Israel and abroad. Michael Boguslavsky is invited to give Master Classes in academies of music in Russia, Belgium and Germany.

 

He is often invited to judge national and international piano competitions, including Rubinstein Piano Competition (Israel) in 1986, and international piano competitions in Riga, (Latvia), Tomsk, Novosibirsk and Krasnoyarsk (Russia).
